Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 13, 2026 ยท See Privacy Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your browser or device to remember information about your visit. Some sites also use similar technologies such as localStorage, which works similarly but does not send data to the server with every request.

2. What storage technologies do we use?

We exclusively use localStorage (browser local storage) and, if you accept analytical cookies, Google Analytics 4 cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking, or social media cookies.

2.1 Essential local storage (no consent required)

Key Purpose Duration
tac_theme Saves your light/dark theme preference Persistent (until cache is cleared)
tac_cookie_consent Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytical cookies Persistent
tac_test_progress_* Saves test progress so you don't lose it if you close your browser Until test completion or 7 days
tac_selected_blocks Remembers which blocks you selected in the free test Until test completion
tac_session_* Temporary session token to link answers with the report 14 days (configurable in config.js)

2.2 Analytical cookies โ€” only with your consent

Cookie Provider Purpose Duration
_ga Google Analytics 4 Distinguishes unique users through an anonymous identifier 2 years
_ga_* Google Analytics 4 Stores session state 2 years

These cookies are only activated if you click "Accept cookies" on the consent banner. They measure site traffic in an anonymized way (page views, time on test, completion rate). They are not used for advertising or shared with third parties.

3. How to manage and revoke consent

You can control analytical cookies in these ways:

  • From the banner: When you visit the site for the first time, choose "Accept" or "Reject".
  • Revoke at any time: Click the button below to reset your preferences. The banner will reappear on your next visit.
  • From your browser: You can block all third-party cookies in your browser's privacy settings.
  • Google Analytics Opt-out: Install the GA opt-out extension for all sites.

4. International transfers

Google Analytics may transfer data to servers in the United States. This transfer is covered by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. This only happens if you accept analytical cookies.
